Neck & Shoulders Massage Video With Emmy
In this series of video Emmy, a retired massage therapist will show you how to give a great massage to your friends, loved one or partner.
Hey Guys, Emmy here, and I’m going to show you how to get the neck, that’s right, the full neck area down to the shoulders, and it’s going to be a good one, so you’re going to have your partner on your back, so be sure to go grab them, tell them to just lay down and relax because you’re going to do this right along with me. I’m going to show you how to help their neck out. If you don’t have a partner around be sure to favorite this video, when they come around you can give them a good neck massage.
Let’s get started.
So, we’re going to work on this side first, so I’m going to move the head that way, you can actually even turn your head that way, there you go. So we’re going to get all up in here,
so I’ve got some oil on my hands, so get back and down underneath in here, almost like you want to pull it forward, pulling with your hands, getting way down under there.
And going back up.
Do the side of the neck, stretch it out a little bit. If you feel any knots this is where you are going to go, and push and breathe and breathe.
There’s some back there.
You’re going to tell them to take deep breaths when you’re pushing on the knots.
Coming down the neck and into the shoulder.
We’re just getting that muscle nice and warm; going over it and pulling on it. And getting up underneath. So, I have my fingers curled like this up underneath.
And we’re gonna….get up in there.
Start to move slowly towards the side of the neck.
And you can actually do the fist like you did on the feet. Get it like that. And it goes back up the other way, too.
And back down, and back up.
So basically you want to take, my hand underneath is cupped like this, so you want to take the weight and let the weight fall into your fingers because you can get deeper into the muscles.
The upper back that I did earlier, this is an easier way to get even deeper than what you could when they are laying prone.
And up and down the back of the neck, too. And we’re going to do the other side.
We’re going to do all of this, and then he is going to change the camera angle.
So again, head over, we’re going to start.
I’m just rubbing and pulling.
And again, I can feel that she has a knot in here, which we’re going to get to.
Remember, tell them to take deep breaths when you’re pushing on any knot.
The oxygen gets to the muscle and helps it release faster.
So, We’ll come down.
And breathe again.
Alright, let’s get to this side.
Ok and you’re going to pull and get those knots when you feel them.
I’m just going to go up the neck and down the shoulder.
That is a big knot. It might be a little sore because when you get all of that acid out, the lactic acid, right around the muscle, when you tend to release knots it will get a little sore in that area.
That’s why you need to drink a lot of water because it will flush all of the lactic acid out. The more water you drink the less sore you will be.
Going up and down, and up and down the shoulder.
Stretch it downwards.
Get the knuckles in.
Stretch it out.
It’s a big knot so we’re going to do it again.
Breathe, and breathe again.
It’s a lot easier to get rid of these knots on the neck doing it this way because the weight is going down towards the hands instead of the hand pushing on the knot, so it’s easier to get up under there.
Going up the neck, up the back of the neck and back down, again.
And do the side.
You can do the fist, with the knuckles going up and down.
So we got up the neck, and remember to get down in here, too.
And just pulling from back there.
And that’s the neck.
We’re going up and down the muscle up and down the neck into the shoulder. Up and following down the back of the neck and the shoulder.
Also you’re going to reach under and cup your fingers like this and pull out.
So I’m going to reach under, cup and pull out. Reach under
Again if you feel the knots and breathe
and just get those finger on top and push straight down.
I’ll get those knots out. Alright you guys, thanks for watching how to give a good neck massage.
